    Ambuja Cements welcomes Manoj Kumar Sharma as CHRO

    Ambuja Cements, recently acquired by thr Adani Group, has appointed Manoj Kumar Sharma as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO). In this new role, Sharma will spearhead the gamut of HR functions, including succession planning, HR transformation, leadership development, HR strategy, executive coaching and talent management.

    Prior to joining Ambuja Cements, Sharma was associated with Adani Electricity where he worked as senior executive and vice president-HR. He has also worked with several other companies such as A&M Resources, Ispat Industries, Flex Industries and the Aditya Birla Group.

    His journey with Adani goes way back to the year 2013, when he joined its vertical, Adani Power, as its head – human resources. After spending close to three years there, Sharma then moved to Adani Green Energy in the year 2016. He was associated with the company for over two years as its head-HR, spearheading its solar manufacturing and renewable-energy business.

    In the year 2018, he joined Adani Electricity Mumbai as its senior executive vice president HR-AEML & head-HR. He held the role for over five years before starting his new stint with Ambuja Cements in Ahmedabad.

    He has worked across many sectors such as pharmaceuticals, starch and allied chemicals, textiles, non-ferrous metal, electrographite rods, thermal/hydro, sponze iron, packaging, and steel cold rolling.

    Sharma expressed his excitement at this new stint in a LinkedIn. HRKatha wishes him all the best in his new assignment.
