Everest Industries has appointed Dr Ujjal Bhattacharjee as its chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective 16 July, 2026. In his new role, he will lead the company’s human resources function and drive its people strategy as Everest Industries continues to strengthen organisational capability and support long-term business growth.
Bhattacharjee brings over 25 years of HR leadership experience across the automotive, pharmaceutical, aerospace, off-highway, chemicals, engineering, and manufacturing sectors. His expertise spans strategic HR, organisational design, change management, mergers and acquisitions, industrial relations, talent management, learning and development, shared services, and business transformation across global organisations.
Prior to joining Everest Industries, he spent nearly seven years with Vesuvius, most recently serving as human resources director – Foundry India & Southeast Asia. During his tenure, he also held several international leadership responsibilities, leading people strategies across multiple geographies and business functions.
Earlier, Bhattacharjee spent nine years at GKN, where he held a series of senior leadership roles. During this period, he led strategic HR initiatives while also taking on operational leadership responsibilities across the business.
Before GKN, he served as vice president – human resources India at Fresenius Kabi for over three years, where he played a key role in strengthening HR practices and supporting the company’s growth in India.
In addition to his corporate leadership experience, Bhattacharjee has published papers in reputed management journals and has been a keynote speaker at business schools and leadership forums.
An alumnus of IIM Calcutta, he has completed the ISB-Kellogg Global Advanced Management Programme at Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.
