Hyper, a US-based digital infrastructure partner specialising in mission-critical data centre solutions, has appointed Vineet Gambhir as its chief human resources officer (CHRO). He joins the executive leadership team to lead the company’s global people strategy, talent development, organisational growth, culture, and employee experience as Hyper continues to scale.
Gambhir brings over 30 years of global HR leadership experience across technology, healthcare, retail, and private equity-backed organisations. His expertise spans organisational transformation, talent strategy, leadership development, workforce planning, mergers and acquisitions, global expansion, organisational design, and culture building in high-growth, complex business environments.
Prior to joining Hyper, Gambhir served as CHRO at DataLink for four years, where he partnered with the CEO and private equity investors to lead the company’s global people agenda during a period of rapid growth and transformation. He drove the organisation’s globalisation strategy, established its India operations, built a scalable people strategy, and led a cultural transformation. During his tenure, he was also named among the Top 100 HR Professionals and served as a board adviser to Accion Labs and AI talent intelligence startup Talr.ai.
Earlier, Gambhir was chief people officer at Enjoy Technology, where he led the global people function for the publicly listed retail technology company during a critical transformation phase before its acquisition by Asurion.
Before that, he spent two years as vice president – human resources at GlobalLogic, where he played a key role in the company’s organisational transformation, IPO preparations, and subsequent US$9.4 billion acquisition by Hitachi, supporting a workforce of over 21,000 employees across more than 15 countries.
Gambhir also held senior HR leadership roles at Yahoo, where he served as vice president–human resources for five years, leading a 70-member HR team across 17 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. He drove workforce planning, leadership development, executive compensation, and regional culture transformation, earning multiple HR excellence awards.
Earlier in his career, he spent over four years at Cisco, first as head – human resources, China Development Organisation, leading HR across Cisco’s largest engineering presence in China and managing multiple acquisitions, before becoming Asia Pacific Head – Global Staffing, where he oversaw hiring across the region, delivering significant improvements in hiring efficiency and candidate experience.
He also served as head – HR for HCL Technologies in the Americas, leading HR during a period of rapid expansion and multiple acquisitions, and spent more than 11 years at Intel Corporation, holding a series of senior HR and people systems leadership roles across the US, China, Malaysia, Puerto Rico, and other international locations.
Gambhir holds an MBA in Human Resources from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. He also teaches at the University of Maryland, mentoring the next generation of business and HR leaders.
