It has barely been two months since Anurag Sharma joined Axiscades as chief growth officer, and now he has been appointed as CEO of its subsidiary, add solution GmbH.
Sharma, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, started his professional journey as a senior engineer with Larsen & Toubro, in Surat, Gujarat, way back in 1995. Over five years later, he moved to ANSYS, India as regional manager- West India. Three years later, he moved to Axiscades as business development manager, working out of Pune. Soon after he switched to Altair Engineering, as national head-engineering services, relocating to Bengaluru, in 2005.
July of 2008 saw Anurag Sharma taking up the role of country business head, Altran, working out of Bengaluru.
From 2011 to 2016, she served as managing director, Segula Technologies. For over five years, he was responsible for P&L, business delivery, sales, finance operations, and statuary compliance, reporting to Segula International in France for growth objectives in India.
Sharma’s next stop was Wafer Space, where he served as global business director for a little while before joining SmartSOC Solutions, as CEO, Insilico and business head and COO, SmartSOC ( a merger of Insilico and Smart SOC).
March 2021 to December 2022 was witness to Sharma playing the role of business consultant, Siemens Technology and Services, based out of Bangalore. Less than two years into this role, he was elevated to director-digitilisation business-Siemens Technology and Services.
Sharma was back at Axiscades in March 2025, as chief growth officer. Two months into this role he has been appointed CEO of its subsidiary, add solution GmbH, a Germany-based subsidiary of Axiscades specialising in wiring harness design and testing for aerospace, automotive and industrial sectors.
Alfonso Martinez, CEO and MD of Axiscades, believes Sharma “embodies the rare blend of technical expertise and executional foresight that defines Axiscades’ ambition. The future of engineering value is being created: at the intersection of electrification, AI-driven industrial transformation, and semiconductor-led innovation, and he brings these talents to the table.”
Anurag Sharma’s “track record in scaling engineering businesses gives add-solution the exact leverage needed to dominate the software-defined era. His work in EDS and cross-border industrialisation aligns with our strategy to embed deeper into European OEMs’ R&D cycles,” said Martinez
Sharma himself is aiming to “to deepen global partnerships and build differentiated capabilities by delivering smarter, faster and more integrated solutions across the value chain.”
