His last professional stint before joining Dalmia was with Metro Cash and Carry, where he lead the HR function for the firm in India, as the head and director – HR. Khanna carries close to three decades of professional experience. After postgraduating in personnel management and industrial relations, he did not start his career as an HR professional immediately. He took up a role as an export and business-development manager at Pharmachem, a pharma distributor in Nepal. Khanna ended up working for the firm for about nine years.

In 2000, Khanna moved to join GE capital as operations manager and climbed up the corporate ladder. He worked for GE for about six years and served his last position as AVP-HR and head-HR for one of the business verticals.

Later, he moved to Genpact as VP-HR, where he also went on to become the VP-HR for the Company’s IT and software businesses.

Post Genpact, Khanna spent more than three years with Walmart and another three years with Samsung Electronics India in senior HR leadership positions.
