    Ex group head-HR, Infosys, appointed to Board of Advisors, Compport

    Krish Shankar has been appointed to the Board of Advisors, Compport, the compensation software firm. Backed by about four decades of experience, this HR leader made a humble beginning as a senior officer-personnel, Eicher Tractors, way back in 1984.

    He joined Hindustan Lever in December 1986. There, he spent 15 years in various roles including personnel manager at the Kandla Factory, operations manager, in Chennai, as well as recruitment manager, corporate training manager, management development manager and HR business partner for the foods, beverages and exports business.

    September of 2002 saw him taking on the role of VP-HR, Asia AMET, Unilever. After four years and seven months, he moved to Bharti Airtel as executive director-human resources, based out of New Delhi.

    Shankar’s next stop was Philips, where he served as head HR-Indian Subcontinent, for a little less than two years.

    It was in October 2015 that he began his association with Infosys, as group head-human resources, based out of Bengaluru for over seven and a half years. He also served as president of the National HRD Network in India from 2019 to 2021

    Since 2023 he has been part of atyourbest.in, a not-for-profit organisation that facilitates the development of behavioural and social skills in underprivileged youth, with a view to enabling them realise their potential and enhance their employability. His venture, Krish Shankar Partners has been enabling businesses and leaders to meet their aspirations for well over a year now.

    Known to be an empathetic and approachable leader, Krish Shankar has authored the book, Catalyse: Power up Your People Ecosystem.

    At Compport, the Singapore-based software firm that makes compensation management software, Krish Shankar is expected to help improve the company’s client-specific solutions and offerings using his knowledge and expertise.
