Tata 1mg has roped in Gurpreet Singh as director – human resources. He moves from Wingify, a Saas company, where he spent over two and a half years, first as lead – talent management & HR projects, and then as group manager, head – talent management & HR operations. He helped develop and drive the strategy around talent management, employee engagement and organisation effectiveness to support high business performance and growth.

Singh, an alumnus of the Management Development Institute, Gurugram and engineering graduate from Panjab University, began his career as a system engineer with Infosys in 2013.

It was in 2016 that he joined Concentrix as manager – HR strategic projects. A year later, he was elevated to the post of manager – HR (Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia). In this role, he led the HR team and helped set up the function from scratch for new business operations in the ASEAN region — Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam (HRBP for a workforce strength of over 1000).

By 2019, Singh became senior HR manager, proactively managing critical employee relations issues for a large region comprising over 50,000 employees, using a structured approach and analytics.

Known for his flexible approach, positive attitude and ability to stay focused, he has also mentored and coached many people in his career.

His expertise lies in talent & performance management, HR transformation, change management, project management, digital HR/technology (HRIS), organisation development, employee engagement and process design.

His ‘cool and calm’ demeanour has been appreciated by his colleagues and co-workers and will continue to be an asset in this new assignment at Tata 1mg.
