    IndiaMART gets upGrad’s Saurabh Deep Singla as CHRO

    IndiaMART, an Indian online B2B marketplace, has appointed Saurabh Deep Singla as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO)

    With over two decades of expertise in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, Singla is set to play a pivotal role in driving organisational growth and enhancing employee engagement at IndiaMART.

    As CHRO, Singla will lead IndiaMART’s HR initiatives. Hie primary focus will be on organisational design, leadership development, employer branding, and fostering a high-performance culture.

    Prior to this, Singla was associated with upGrad as its chief HR officer. He joined the company in the year 2022 and led many transformative initiatives.

    Prior to UpGrad, Singla served as the chief people officer at Ecom Express. He joined the company in the year 2017 and held the company’s HR helm for a good four years.

    His expertise lies in developing innovative people strategies and transforming organisational cultures. Furthermore, he has worked with many renowned brands such as Rio Tinto, Yum! Restaurants, Whirlpool, and Airtel.

    Dinesh Gulati, COO, IndiaMART, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, saying, “Our employees are our most valuable asset, and we are committed to creating an environment of innovation and excellence.     Singla joins IndiaMART after serving as the global HR head for upGrad, where he successfully led transformative initiatives. Speaking about his new role, Singla, CHRO, IndiaMART, said, “For over two decades, IndiaMART has empowered businesses across India with its digital solutions. I am thrilled to contribute to its vision by building a collaborative and performance-driven culture that empowers employees at all levels.
