Clix Capital, an NFBC, has roped in Kanishka Mallick as its new vice president-human resources, effective January 2024. In the new role, Mallick will lead the organisation’s people and culture strategy.
Backed by over two decades of experience in HR, Mallick has worked across various sectors such as technology, telecommunications, IT and hospitality.
His expertise encompasses various aspects of HR, such as workforce planning, merger and acquisition HR, layoffs, culture development, performance management, POSH, employee engagement, DEI, HR analytics, HR audits, HR tech, organisation development, people process framework, and talent-acquisition strategy.
Prior to joining Clix, Mallick was associated with an early-stage startup as its senior vice president-talent solutions. His primary aim was to manage business development by engaging with clients, recommending solutions and fostering long-term partnerships. Simultaneously, he oversaw internal HR functions, scaling up the tech/product team, and handling all aspects of HR, including hiring, onboarding, payroll, engagement, training, exit management, compensation and employee experience.
Following this stint, Mallick took a caregiver break for about six months. Prior to that, he dedicated over 11 years to Times Internet, serving as the general manager-HR and talent-acquisition head.
His professional journey also includes roles at Bharti Enterprises, Bharti Comtel, QAI India and Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India.
On the academic front, Mallick holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta. Additionally, he holds an MBA in human resources from Bharathidasan Institute of Management Tiruchirapalli. He had also earned a PhD in human- resource development from Amity University.
To enhance his HR- leadership skills, he has completed certificates in talent strategy, leadership and business intelligence from Wharton, along with positive psychiatry and mental health from the University of Sydney.
