After over five successful years with United Breweries, Kavita Singh has now joined Thermax Group as group chief human resources officer (GCHRO).

Prior to joining United Breweries in 2021, Singh served as chief human resources officer at Hindustan Zinc. Before that, she spent nearly a decade with A.P. Moller – Maersk, where she held several senior roles during her decade-long stint with them.

She joined as general manager-human resources in 2008, and was promoted within three years to head-human resources, India and Sri Lanka cluster.

Her next promotion in 2015 made her global HR business partner, working out of Copehhagen, Denmark for a short while. She was elevated to regional director and head of human resources for Africa, South Asia and the Middle East, in June of 2015. This role saw her working out of Dubai, UAE.

Singh’s career began as a humble management trainee-talent acquisition with Reliance Infocomm, way back in 2002. Over a year later, she moved to Tata AIG as assistant manager-human resources, for four years.

February of 2007 saw Singh taking up the role of chief manager-HR, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company. For a little less than two years she played HR business partner for priority channel, direct marketing and Gulf countries before beginning her long association with AP Moller-Maersk.

Known for her in-depth business understanding, her ability to strike a balance between commercial business and HR practices will be an asset to Thermax Group.

HRKatha wishes Kavita Singh all the best!
