Kavita Dasan has joined Suzlon Group as head – talent management and employee engagement. She was earlier chief people officer, ABP Network for over four years, based out of Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Her new assignment at Suzlon will see this result-oriented business leader— specialising in all facets of talent management— working out of Pune.

After joining ABP Network in 2019, Dasan managed to build an open, creative and learning culture there, leading to high growth and business innovations. She is credited with designing career paths, crafting talent strategy, keeping pace with the ever changing business landscape, creating a pipeline of future-ready employees capable of driving growth and innovation. She led all people experience programmes in the areas of total rewards, diversity, inclusion, employee wellbeing, talent management and employer branding.

Dasan had moved to ABP Network from DHFL, where she was VP – HR for almost six years.

Before DHFL, Dasan was the VP-HR at Zee Entertainment Enterprise for over four years, from 2012 to 2017, leading HR practices for a more than 1700-strong workforce across India. She was head of HR for Tensports, Zee Unimedia, Taj Television, and also head-regional HR, that is, for all businesses in North, East and South.

She has also served as deputy general manager, HR at DCM Shriram for more than three and a half years, from 2008 to 2012. She led HR for the rural retail division of DCM Shriram, which had an employee base of more than 2500, spread across 300 locations in the country.

Dasan has experience in talent acquisition, having served as chief manager-talent acquisition at Vihaan Networks, Delhi. There she handled the hiring of niche skills, working on GSM technology.

In her long and successful professional journey, she has led talent acquisition and employee engagement for over a year at Times Internet, based out of Gurgaon.

For almost eight years, she served as the senior manager-talent acquisition and employee engagement at the Times Group, where she looked after strategic talent acquisition, succession planning and recruitment processes across the Group.

Before joining the Times Group, Dasan served as officer-HR at Chase Perdana Berhad, a Malaysian multinational company that deals in oil & gas, construction, real estate, manufacturing, trading, property and general investment as well as travel & tour.

An alumna of Delhi University, this commerce graduate — who specialised in human resources from IIM, Ahmedabad — is also a Grow More Coach. HRKatha wishes her all the best in her latest assignment.
