IBM’s spin-off, Kyndryl India, has appointed Sukanya Choudhury as its new CHRO, to lead the people strategy for the latter. Choudhury has worked for over 17 years in various HR roles for multiple businesses within IBM. She carries a strong background in talent development and comes with sound business acumen, which will help Kyndryl make its workforce future ready.

Prior to this appointment, Choudhury was heading HR for business development at IBM, leading HR transformation during mergers and acquisitions (M&As). She joined IBM in 2004, and starting from then, she has been serving the IBM brand in various capacities working in multiple locations and leading various HR processes for the company — from being an HR partner to developing technical and business leadership skills.

“We will truly gain from Sukanya’s expertise in leading people strategy, her passion for developing talent, and her strong business acumen,” shares Anurag Mohit, VP – HR, global technology services, IBM South Asia, in a social-media post.

Choudhury is an alumna of Delhi University and started her corporate career with the Shivam Group of companies. Later on, she moved to SQL Star International, which offers e-learning services to corporates, as an HR manager. Prior to joining IBM, Choudhury was the HR manager at Netkrafts, which offers information technology services.
