Vikram Bector, group chief human resources officer, Piramal Enterprises, shares with HRKatha, “Soni and Adyar have joined the HR team at a time when our businesses are experiencing growth. We have always believed in providing leadership opportunities to young talent. It is a great time to join the team as the second phase of our SEEDS HR transformation journey is underway. Individuals and teams have a huge opportunity to make a difference— to the HR function, the business and to themselves.”

Adyar—an MBA in human resource management from Symbiosis Institute of Management (SIBM), Pune—has moved in from the food delivery company, Fasoos, where he was the chief people officer. Prior to Fasoos, Adyar worked as senior manager-HR, with ICICI Bank, where he was also HR generalist and learning & development specialist, with extensive exposure to recruitment, performance management, talent management, succession planning and change management.

He tells HRkatha, “I am looking forward to setting up progressive HR practices and building a world-class team that will help realise the vision of the organisation. A team that would help Piramal Realty stay ahead of the curve and usher the organisation to the next level.”

Soni has moved in from Bharti Axa Life Insurance, where she was head of compensation benefits and HR operations.

Soni also is an alumna of SIBM, Pune. She started her career with IBM as HR partner, in 2005. She spent close to eight years there before moving to Jardine Lloyd Thompson as group head-total rewards. She had joined Bharti Axa  in August 2016, and this move comes in quick succession.

Enthused about her new role, Soni shares with HRKatha — “Piramal Group is on a very interesting journey of transformation and I am constantly amazed by the quality of talent and the passion of the team.”
