Educational Initiatives (EI), a leading edtech company, announced the appointment of Poornima S P as its vice president of human resources.

Poornima will be responsible for designing and implementing holistic HR policies to meet short- and long-term business requirements with a focus on talent management and development, managerial and leadership capability development, and domain-oriented expertise.

A versatile human-resource professional, Poornima has 14 years of hands-on experience in handling the entire gamut of HR for high-growth technology companies in a leadership role. She has an overall experience of 25 years in the human resources industry.

Her core skills include talent management and development, employee engagement, organisational development, change management and employee retention.

An alumnus of IIM Bangalore and XLRI Jamshedpur, Poornima specialises in talent attraction, talent management and employee engagement.

For a large part of Poornima’s career, spanning over two decades, she was with Tejas Networks, where she focused on organisation effectiveness, operational excellence and driving HR programmes.

She was formerly with Cisco and Intuit in their formative years in India and has partnered and collaborated with many HR professionals across the US, UK, Australia and APAC.

Her strong belief in analytics is coupled with a passion for creating great customer experience and a better ecosystem in human resources.

Poornima is eager to implement educational initiatives and build a strong pipeline of inspired and passionate individuals capable of supporting the demanding and ever-evolving dynamics of the K-12 business ecosystem.

As a leader in the K-12 education space, EI also leverages research with tech-based solutions to change the way children learn. Poornima’s entry into EI will help the Company fulfil its vision of creating a better way of learning for children.
