Microland, the Indian digital IT transformation company, has announced the appointment of Ramya Sampath Sharma as chief people officer. An alumna of XLRI, Jamshedpur, Sharma will be based at Microland’s corporate office in Bengaluru and will be responsible for leading the human resources function. She will partner with the business leadership to build an organisation of the future— versatile and adaptable, with a distinctive culture that drives business performance and productivity.

In a career that has spanned 24+ years, Sharma brings with her a multifunctional HR experience and a proven record of driving HR solutions focused on business growth. Her extensive experience also includes leading multicultural teams in complex global environments. Prior to joining Microland, she was at Accenture as managing director, HR and talent strategy. There, she was responsible for crafting the people strategy to enable the technology business and deliver a broad spectrum of talent-management products and solutions for its workforce. Prior to Accenture, she was with Intel Corporation for 14 years as HR director and head of HR for Asia Pacific and Japan. She led a multifunctional team of HR professionals supporting businesses in the APAC regions and Japan.
