Ralhan moves from Walmart Global, where he was VP- people since 2018

After leading the people agenda for Walmart Global Tech India for over four years, Sudeep Ralhan has joined Upstox as chief people officer.

At Walmart, Ralhan had joined as VP – people in 2018, and was responsible for driving hyper growth, enhancing the talent brand, building the talent pipeline and creating a culture of inclusion and wellbeing at the Company.

In his career spanning over two decades, Ralhan has worked across the IT, BPO & FMCG industries, enabling business performance through design and deployment of talent strategy, acquisition, management and development practices. Having worked across geographies and functions, Ralhan is passionate about partnering with business leaders, developing people and working in positive, high-energy environments.

He was associated with Accenture for close to 10 years, and with Polaris for two years.

From 2013 to 2018, he was associated with GSK Consumer Healthcare. He joined as HR business partner – commercial, and went on to become the country HR head in 2016. After successfully partnering with the business to deliver HR services to all functions, including commercial, supply chain, R&D and support functions, and leading a team of HR generalists and specialists, Ralhan moved to Walmart in 2018.

In his new assignment as the HR lead for Upstox, he will be responsible for fuelling the Company’s growth with progressive people practices, enhancing the talent brand, creating employee centric experiences and building a high performance, inclusive culture. Ralhan will be based out of Bengaluru.

An alumnus of the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, Ralhan is known for his ability to articulate value and drive results. He is acknowledged as part of a rare breed of HR professionals who gets into the depth of a business and its people in order to drive change and execute on big projects.

Upstox recently also hired Manoj Agarwal as head of compliance and Sriram Krishnan as vice president – information security.
