Tech Mahindra is making key leadership changes to fuel growth and bolster its human capital strategy. Harshvendra Soin steps up as president of the Asia Pacific and Japan business, while Richard Lobo joins as chief people officer (CPO) in January 2024.

Soin, a seasoned veteran with extensive experience in APAC and IMEA, takes on the mantle of driving growth and managing diverse business units across the region. His prior roles as global chief people officer and Head of HR at renowned organisations such as Punwire, East India Hotels, and Bharti Enterprises further demonstrate his versatility and expertise in managing human capital. This well-rounded experience positions him to effectively navigate the dynamic APAC and Japan markets.

Lobo, a prominent figure in the HR landscape, brings over two decades of experience from industry leader Infosys. His diverse background, including a recent stint as an advisor at edtech platform Byju’s, equipping him with valuable insights into the evolving HR landscape and the challenges of scaling organisations.

His arrival signals Tech Mahindra’s commitment to prioritising human capital development and leveraging talent effectively to achieve its strategic objectives. Lobo’s expertise and network are expected to be invaluable in attracting and retaining top talent, fostering a high-performance culture, and driving employee engagement.

This leadership reshuffle reflects Tech Mahindra’s strategic intent to solidify its presence in the Asia Pacific and Japan region, while simultaneously investing in its human capital to drive future success. Soin’s proven track record and Lobo’s industry expertise position the company well to capitalise on the immense potential of these markets.
