TPI Composites, a US-based wind turbine manufacturer, has roped in Rajaram K as its new director-human resources, with immediate effect. In his new role, he will be based at the Chennai office.
Rajaram moves from The Ramco Cements, where he was serving as vice president-human resources. His journey with TPI Composites goes way back to 2019, when he joined the company as its director-HR and held the role for three years.
With a career spanning more than 35 years in human resources, he has accumulated expertise in various sectors, including infrastructure, automobile, telecom, oil and gas, and IT services and consulting.
He has worked with several other companies including Ford, HCL Technologies, CADD Centre and FTSI.
His longest stint was with Ford where he held various positions. He joined Ford India as its manager-human resources in April 2009. He then moved to the company’s China unit in November 2009, developing compensation strategies for the region. During his year- long tenure, he also oversaw the implementation of HR IT projects in the region, and served as the HR business partner for IT throughout the Asia Pacific.
In Oct 2010, Rajaram moved to Ford Technology Services as its general manager-HR, heading Ford’s IT & engineering services division in India. In 2019, he moved back to Ford India and shouldered the company’s corporate responsibilities as its general manager-HR for three years.
Rajaram holds a post graduate in Chemistry and an MBA from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. He is also certified as an Organisation Development and Change Management Professional, by Ford Motor Company.
