Axis Bank has launched a platform for alternate work models to encourage, flexible working and ensure more inclusivity and diversity. Aptly called, GIG-A Opportunities, the platform will open opportunities in the areas of technology, digital banking, virtual sales, risk modelling, audit and credit policy and so on. The two work models it is offering right now are, 100 per cent virtual roles as well as short-term, flexible and project-based contracts that may last for about eight months or even up to a year.

A lot of good talent from the smaller towns will now get a chance to use their skills and abilities, as it will allow talent to work from anywhere. The pool of candidates will also be rather wide as it will encompass diverse and educated talent from across the country, including the small cities and towns. The flexibility offered will allow more women as well as those with disabilities to put their talent to good use.

Gig-A is Axis Bank’s way of adapting to the changing times and focusing on skills rather than qualifications, while offering employment. The Bank plans to hire almost 1,000 people as part of this new hiring initiative. It expects to see a 15 per cent spike in hiring in these alternate work models by 2023, and more diversity in its talent pool.

The platform has already received an overwhelming response. Those interested in applying may visit: https://www.axisbank.com/careers/fresher?tabname=gigaopportunity&cta=homepage-main-banner-second-careers-giga-opportunities
