Who says campus recruitment is going through a slump? A final year management graduate of Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, has managed to bag an annual package of Rs 51 lakh from Amazon India.
The college has around 381 students in the current batch of PGPM. It claims that around 95 per cent of the students have bagged a job contract from across sectors be it consulting, e-commerce, analytics, IT/ITES, telecom, financial services and manufacturing.
However, the maximum number of jobs has been bagged in technology consulting, sales and marketing and business consulting roles.
The average annual package is around Rs 12.02 lakhs, which is slightly higher than last year’s figure of Rs 11.43 lakh.
The current batch has a mix of students from diverse educational backgrounds and industry experience ranging between 2 to 5 years.
“The record CTC of Rs. 51 Lakhs from Amazon and continuous rise in the average CTC for the batch clearly show the ever-growing confidence of recruiting corporates in our students’ quality, performance and contribution,” says an elated R Shreenath, director, corporate and career services, Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai.
Great Lakes was founded in 2004, by Padmashri Dr. Bala V. Balachandran. The college has campuses in Chennai and Gurgaon.
