Jyoti Structures (JSL), a global engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company specialising in power transmission infrastructure, has offered 76 roles to students across 16 engineering and management institutions as part of its campus hiring drive. The recruitment strategy focused on tier-I and II city colleges, as part of a hiring philosophy that prioritises stability and long-term continuity in project site environments.
The company is in the process of building its frontline execution workforce. This campus recruitment cycle is aligned with Jyoti Structures’ long-term vision of building a future-ready, execution-driven EPC organisation. As India accelerates its transmission infrastructure, particularly to support renewable energy evacuation across emerging corridors, the need for technically strong, site ready professionals continues to grow.
Candidates were hired for the roles of graduate engineer trainee, diploma engineer trainee, trainee surveyor, and management trainee. The participating students were from various disciplines including Civil Engineering, Material Management, MBA in Advanced Construction Management, and Surveying.
The students were initially shortlisted on the basis of CGPA, followed by an online assessment combining aptitude and course-based questions, and a final on-campus interview.
The drive spanned institutions across West Bengal, Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, with maximum hires from West Bengal.
Commenting on the hiring drive, Pragati Nagar, head-HR, Jyoti Structures, said, “The talent we bring in at the campus level will form the backbone of our project execution over the next decade. Our focus on Tier I and II institutions stems from consistent experience. These candidates demonstrate a strong work ethic, adaptability, and readiness for site-driven roles, which directly impacts execution quality. This hiring initiative is about building a future-ready workforce pipeline equipped to support the scale and demands of India’s evolving transmission sector.”
Hired candidates will be deployed across site execution, construction management, project coordination, and planning and monitoring functions. Participating institutions included select government engineering colleges such as Government Engineering College, Kishanganj (Bihar), Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (West Bengal), Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology, Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), West Bengal Survey Institute and NICMAR University (Pune).
The strategy being followed by JSL is to engage talent at the start of their careers, enabling early alignment with the company’s values, safety-first mindset, and high-performance site culture. By investing in structured campus hiring and focused outreach to good technical institutions, JSL is consciously building a pipeline of engineers, surveyors and construction professionals who can be groomed to deliver complex transmission projects with discipline, integrity, and execution excellence.
