Many organisations today are trying to build future capabilities in their employees, and the public relations (PR) space is no different. Adfactors PR has signed an MoU with Upgrad, an online e-learning platform, to train its 300 client-servicing employees in digital marketing and communication skills. The curriculum for the programme has been designed by experts from MICA, a well-known digital marketing institute and business school in India. The participating employees will receive a post-graduate certificate after the course.

The course will have participants from across all levels of client servicing. From account executives to vice presidents, everyone will be taking part in the skill-development programme.

The Company has decided to train employees in batches. The first batch of 100 from Delhi and Bangalore has already started the course. The other two batches will also begin their respective classes in August and complete the course by October.

Through this programme, the independent PR consultancy is making efforts to embed various digital skills in its employees. The objective is to build social-media presence, manage online reputation and multimedia content capabilities, market content, plan campaigns and also provide digital analytics and digital crisis-management skills.

“As India’s leading PR firm, we have to be future ready to meet the evolving needs of our clients. For our employees, such comprehensive education will serve as a bridge to migrate to the digital future. By March 2021, we expect every single employee of the firm to have post-graduate capabilities in digital marketing and communications,” says Madan Bahal, co-founder and managing director, Adfactors PR.

This programme will give the employees a chance to take guidance from industry experts and student mentors. Employees will attend classes at offline camps and will get the opportunity to participate in peer activities and connect with over 2000 digital marketers.

The programme will provide 8-12 hours of learning per week, for each course in the module.

The first phase of the programme will be completed by June 2020. Phase two will aim to train the remaining 300 client-servicing employees.
