Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Accenture India will bear the cost of vaccines for their eligible employees and their family members. Others such as RPG Group and SBI are also considering mass inoculation of their employees.

Indian Banks Association (IBA) has asked its member banks to consider covering the cost of vaccines for their staff.

While TCS has been lending support to its workforce throughout the pandemic for COVID-related treatment and care, globally, it plans to continue giving whatever support is required to them for vaccination too.

Infosys will collaborate with healthcare providers to vaccinate employees and their family members, in line with governmental guidelines, which includes covering the cost of vaccination.

Accenture has also revealed its intention to bear the cost of vaccination for the employees and their dependents who are covered in the medical benefits scheme offered by the Company. The Company put its employee well being before everything else and is encouraging each member of its workforce to take the vaccine.

The Mahindra Group had already started working in this direction long back. Anand Mahindra, group chairman, Mahindra Group, sought the cooperation of the private sector on social media, to speed up the vaccine distribution process across the country.

Earlier this year, Mahindra Logistics had discussed with vaccine manufacturers the process of creating capacity in vaccine logistics, as it expected vaccine supply to accelerate in the first quarter of 2021-22.
