Alstom Group, the global smart, sustainable and green mobility company, is planning to expand its India team by 15 per cent in 2022. It is looking to recruit 7,500 people worldwide.

Candidates who are full of curiosity and innovativeness and nurture a desire to help reinvent mobility, by making it more digital and sustainable, can obtain more details about the vacancies at: https://www.alstom.com/careers.

Alstom gearing up to respond to the globally increasing demand for greener and more modern train, metro and tram fleets that offer optimised capacity.

In the Indian Subcontinent, the firm’s employee strength been growing consistently over the past few years. From 2000+ in 2016, it has grown to about 9000+ today.

With a focus on diversity and inclusion, Alstom hopes to facilitate better ideation, foster innovation, and higher participation at the workplace.

Given the lucrative orders it already has (worth about €4 B), and the optimism for the Indian market, Alstom is planning to increase the team size in India by 15 per cent by December this year. It will hire engineers, technicians as well as data science specialists.

The Group is on the lookout for engineers and managers in Europe and Asia-Pacific, and around 1,500 workers and technicians, in Europe, North America and Latin America.

The Company offers a chance to begin a career with opportunities to move between jobs and geographies as per the employees’ aspirations.

As part of its people policy, Alstom has been tying up with institutes such as ISB Hyderabad and BITS Pilani for a range of work-integrated learning programmes. It has a dedicated programme, RENEW, for women candidates with over three years of experience and a career break of over 12 months, giving them a chance to return to the active workforce.

The company invests heavily in nurturing and training talent across levels — from young graduates to engineering experts to senior leaders — who are contributing to smart and sustainable mobility.

Alain Spohr, managing director, India & South Asia, Alstom, shares that Alstom’s “ people agenda is central to business. It is all about keeping people engaged with us and ensuring that they feel empowered and supported in their career aspirations”.

The Company strongly believes in “building the right environment for our employees to continue excelling in their respective domains”.
