    Capgemini gets Preeti Chopra as CHRO for business services global business line

    Preeti Chopra has been appointed chief human resources officer (CHRO) at Capgemini. She moves from EXL, where she was global HR leader and head, emerging business unit/ digital/ Philippines.

    An alumna of Delhi University, Chopra started her career with GE Capital in 1999 as assistant vice president. Her association with GE lasted just over six years.

    She then joined Genpact as vice president – HR and training. She spent almost 19 and a half years with Genpact. Her last designation at the Company was that of vice president, a role she successfully essayed for over five years.

    At Capgemini, Chopra will be CHRO for the Company’s business services global business line.

    Animal welfare, health, arts and culture, children, civil rights and social action, education, politics and environment are causes close to her hear.

    In her LinkedIn post, Chopra expresses her delight at this new appointment. “Automation and artificial intelligence (AI) are at the heart of the business services narrative, and I’m totally looking forward to continuing to develop a talent strategy that delivers technology-driven business operations for our clients. And of course, helping our employees and clients get the future they want”.

    Capgemini has a workforce strength of 3,24,700, globally, of which about one and a half lakh employees are based in India. Its primary operations are from Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

    Majority of the Company’s team comprises software engineers, software analysts and process associates with expertise in core Java, Java Selenium and Spring Boot.

    The French multinational information technology services and consulting company had recently revealed its intention to expand its India employee base by over 60,000.
