Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport has appointed Sunanda Sathish as its new director–human resources, strengthening its people leadership as the hospitality sector sharpens focus on talent development, employee experience and workplace culture. In her new role at Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport, Sunanda will oversee HR strategy and lead initiatives focused on strengthening employee experience and organisational culture.
Sathish brings more than 25 years of experience within the Marriott ecosystem and wider hospitality industry. Across her career, she has built extensive expertise in talent management, employee engagement and organisational development, with a strong focus on creating people-centric workplaces.
Most recently, she served as director-human resources, The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, a position she held since 2022. Prior to that, she worked as assistant director-HR, The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace.
Earlier in her career, she spent more than six years as human resources manager, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar and also held HR leadership responsibilities across Marriott International properties in Mumbai.
Her experience spans key HR areas including talent acquisition, workplace culture, associate engagement and capability development. Having worked across multiple hotel formats and brands, she brings significant operational and people- leadership experience.
Together, the appointments underscore the hotel’s continued investment in structured talent development and people-focused leadership as hospitality businesses increasingly strengthen workforce capability and service excellence initiatives.
