    Amazon India’s ex-HR head Vijayalakshmi Swaminathan joins Pine Labs as CPO

    Pine Labs, a merchant commerce platform has roped in Vijayalakshmi Swaminathan as its Chief People Officer. Swaminathan was working with Amazon India as head HR until December 2021.

    She takes over from Anu Mathew who will now transition into the role of the head of learning and development at Pine Labs.

    In the past, Swaminathan has had a successful entrepreneurial stint as one of the founding partners of CoCoon Consulting, a cross-sectoral boutique HR consulting firm – a company she managed for 16 years.

    B Amrish Rau, CEO, Pine Labs, says in an official communique, “Our people are our Strength. A high-performance workforce will accelerate the progress we have made in recent years”

    He wished to see Pine Labs grow as the ‘Employer of Choice’ for talented individuals.

    Rau states that Pine Labs is a company that gives an opportunity to innovate and excel. “I am sure Swaminathan’s immense experience will add that spark into our HR function and help us attain newer heights in the future,” he says.

    Swaminathan says, “The Pine Labs story is of a truly transformative and future-focused company that responsibly drives sustainable growth.”

    She said she was looking forward to create a world-class, employee-first organisation build on the strong foundation laid by the existing team”

    Swaminathan has a postgraduate degree in personnel management & industrial relations from XLRI.

    In April 2021, Pine Labs acquired Fave, a consumer fintech platform that provides a smart payment app to the smart generation of consumers looking to pay and save. Fave is currently available in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia with a planned roll-out in India in the near term.
