Pune-based Enpro Industries has promoted Ranjeet Singh to chief human resources officer (CHRO). Before being named CHRO,he served as general manager at the company that designs and manufactures custom-engineered skids, process equipment and heat exchangers.
During his term as general manager from 2021 to 2026, he led HR, administration, safety, CSR, and business excellence. This elevation marks a key milestone in his HR leadership career.
Singh began his professional journey in 2005 as deputy manager-HR & admin, Parryware Roca where he managed plant level recruitment, payroll administration, employee welfare, statutory compliances, performance management, industrial relations, SAP-HR system and employee- engagement initiative.
He spent more than eight years of his career from 2009 to 2017 at Tata Steel where he held several HR leadership roles. His responsibilities at Tata Steel covered talent acquisition, business HR, employee relations, organisation restructuring, workforce planning, performance management, and leadership development.
Later, Singh worked as deputy general manager – human resources at Sudarshan Chemical Industries from 2017 to 2020. There, he managed HR operations for a workforce of nearly 600 employees. His focus areas included talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, strategic recruitment, reward and recognition programs, campus hiring, and employer branding.
Armed with more than two decades of experience across human resources, talent management, employee relations, organisational development and business excellence, Singh has built an impressive leadership track record in the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
Now, with the latest elevation at Enpro, Singh will oversee the company’s overall human resources function. His responsibilities will include talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, organisational transformation, and building a high-performance workplace culture. The goal is to align HR practices with Enpro’s business objectives and prepare the workforce for future challenges.
This seasoned HR leader has also authored three books that explore the full spectrum of what makes us human.
