PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the international professional services firm has elevated Yoland Seals-Coffield to chief people officer.

Seals-Coffield had joined PwC over ten years ago, as principal – office of the general counsel, back in 2010. A decade into the role, she was elevated to deputy people leader in 2021.

She also served as the president of the PwC Charitable Foundation for a period of a little less than two years.

Equipped with a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Howard University, Seals-Coffield began her professional journey as associate with Day Berry & Howard in 1997. After two years, she moved on to Paul Hastings in a similar role.

In 2003, she joined Diageo North America as vice president and assistant general counsel. A successful seven-year long tenure later, she moved to PwC.

Speaking about her promotion on LinkedIn, she expresses her gratitude “for the unforgettable experiences and relationships” that her previous roles at PwC have brought her. She is clearly “excited to start the next chapter as PwC’s US Chief People Officer” after spending 12 years at the MNC “working with teams across every aspect of the employee life cycle – from hiring to performance, diversity and inclusion and our alumni network”.

She goes on to reveal how passionate she is “about our people and creating a culture of belonging where people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives can thrive”.

She looks forward to the ‘opportunities to rethink and redefine our profession, and empower our people to build personalized and fulfilling careers”.
