After spending eight years serving Renault Korea, Stephane Deblaise will now be playing CEO, Renault Group in India, effective 1 September 2025.
Fifty-two year old Stephane Deblaise is an alumnus of Telecom Physique Strasbourg and IFP School. He began his career at Saft Batteries before joining Renault Group in 2000 as advanced process engineering manager in January 2005, based out of France. In less than three years he was elevated to powertrain project manager. His next promotion in 2009 took him to Brazil, as overseas chief vehicle engineer in charge of entry programme in America. From May 2012 to April 2014 he was back in France as senior manager-prototypes manufacturing division. He was also ‘smart spending’ cross-functional team pilot.
April of 2014 saw him moving to Wuhan, China to look after product planning, corporate planning and programmes as vice president. Over three years later, he was again back in France, as worldwide C&D segments vehicles programme director, Renault Group, in July 2017.
An elevation put Stephane Deblaise in the position of VP Renault Group, vehicles and cross car line programme director, in 2021. By March 2022, he was appointed CEO, Renault Korea.
Now, as CEO of Renault Group in India, he will help define and execute the Group’s strategy in India, with all Renault Group entities in the country reporting to him. He will be supported by Venkatram Mamillapalle, the present MD of Renault India. Deblaise himself will report directly to Francois Provost, chief procurement, partnerships and public affairs officer, Renault Group.
Renault India cars are manufactured in the facility located in Oragadam, Chennai. And given Stephane Deblaise’s specialisation in the automotive industry, and experience in engineering, manufacturing, project and programme management, product and corporate planning, he will continue to be an asset to Renault Group in India.
