Emirates Group is on a global hiring spree and is looking for talent for 350 roles. The Group aims to hire 17,300 professionals, including pilots, cabin crew, engineers and ground staff this financial year, to support the operations of Emirates and dnata, across the world. Owned by the Emirates Group, dnata (short for Dubai National Air Travel Agency) is an Emirati airport services provider offering aircraft ground handling, cargo, travel, and flight catering services across five continents.The recruitment will happen across 150 cities, in addition to Dubai-based hiring events targeting freshers and nationals of UAE.
Over 2000 hiring events have been planned across the world, including dedicated events to hire cabin crew and open days to hire pilots, engineers and information technology (IT) specialists. The airline is also hiring , commercial and sales experts, as well as customer-service professionals. On the other hand, dnata is looking to recruit 4,000 to take care of cargo, ground handling as well as catering services.
Presently, the Emirates Group has about 1.21 lakh employees, having hired at least 41,000 over the past three years.
The Group is known for its people-centric work culture, tax-free salaries, employee benefits and training programmes.
Earlier this year, in May, Emirates Airline had posted a record profit of $6.2 billion in FY 2023-24, and had decided to share this achievement with its employees in the form of a bonus. Twenty-two weeks’ salary was offered to the 1.20 lakh employees as bonus and reward for their hard work and contribution to the airline’s success. This equalled about 42 per cent of the basic pay of the employees, including the ground staff and flight crew regardless of their tenure in the company or rank.
