After playing chief operating officer at JSW Sports for over two and a half years, Divyanshu Singh has now been elevated to chief executive officer (CEO) of the sports arm of the JSW Group.

Divyanshu Singh has studied Sports Management from Leipzig University and holds an MBA from Indian School of Business.

From 2006 to 2009, he was a professional tennis player for the International Tennis Federation.

From January 2010 to March of 2012, he played business development manager, Tennis Excellence. In April of 2012, Divyanshu Singh joined Cornerstone Sport and Entertainment as manager. A year later, he moved to IMG Reliance as deputy general manager, working out of Mumbai.

It was in February of 2017 that his association with JSW Sports began. He served as head of sales and marketing for six years during which he established the sales and marketing division, drove commercial growth across its athletes, programmes, and franchises including Bengaluru FC, Haryana Steelers, Soorma Hockey Club, Pretoria Capitals and Delhi Capitals.

Divyanshu Singh was instrumental in scaling the Inspire Institute of Sport into one of India’s largest CSR-funded Olympic sports programmes, while also launching an independent agency vertical that has since doubled in revenue, significantly expanding JSW Sports’ commercial footprint. In 2021, he took over the management of the Haryana Steelers in the Pro Kabaddi League, leading the franchise to a remarkable rise, finishing as Runners-up and Champions in the past two seasons. In 2023, he was elevated to chief operating officer, leading company-wide operations.

Parth Jindal, founder, JSW Sports, is confident that under Singh’s “leadership and vision, JSW Sports will keep pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved in Indian sport. I wish him the best for what I am certain will be a successful chapter for both, him and JSW Sports.”

In Divyanshu Singh’s own words, “Indian sport requires new imagination and an entrepreneurial spirit to solve complex issues and create value for the entire ecosystem through disruptive business models, and the next phase will be about creating self-sustainable and value creating businesses in Indian sport. My vision is to build on our legacy and establish JSW Sports as a market leader with a wider lens on sport which is not restricted to just the spectator sports market”.
