Dharaniswar Das has been appointed director of people & culture, Novotel Hyderabad Airport.
Das moves from Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall where he was director of talent and culture.
An alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata and an MBA holder from Indira Gandhi National Open University, he began his professional journey with Hyatt Regency, Kolkata, in the F&B division. Over two and a half years later, he moved to P&O Cruise, as F&B supervisor.
He served as vice principal, Sarada College of Hotel Management from 2007 to 2009.
June of 2010 saw him taking up the role of training manager at Park Plaza, Ahmedabad.
AVASA Hotel, Hyderabad appointed him training manager in 2012. Three years later, he moved on to Novotel Imagica Khopoli by Accor in 2013.
Dharaniswar Das’ next stop was Novotel Ibis Techpark Bengaluru, as L&D manager.
December of 2018 was witness to Das taking up the position of manager-talent and culture and L&D, Novotel Guwahati GS Road.
His association with Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall began in September of 2022, as talent and culture manager. Four months into this role, he was elevated to associate director of talent and culture. By January of 2024 he had reached the position of director of talent and culture.
In his latest assignment at Novotel Hyderabad Airport, which is part of the hospitality group, Accor, Dharaniswar Das will lead the human resources strategy with a strong focus on talent acquisition, employee development, organisational culture, and people-centric operations. He will be tasked with steering initiatives that enhance team engagement, strengthen leadership capability, support learning and development, and ensure a workplace environment that reflects Accor’s values and service philosophy. He will also play a key role in shaping policies, driving diversity and inclusion, and aligning people practices with the hotel’s strategic priorities
Das is eager to focus on “creating meaningful development opportunities, nurturing an inclusive culture, and ensuring that every team member feels supported and empowered in their journey”.
