V-Marc India, the advanced electrical manufacturing company, has appointed Meena Sharma as corporate head of human resources and admin.

Sharma brings over two decades of experience to the table, having begun her professional journey in 2000.

She started off as an HR executive with Samtel Avionics, looking into talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management and so on for over five years.

She then moved to Uniparts India in July of 2007, as regional manager-HR and ER. As a strategic HR leader, she helped align human capital strategies with organisational goals, translating business vision into actionable HR plans for about six and a half years. She also drove HR cost optimisation through strategic rightsizing and manpower planning, ensuring efficient resource allocation while maintaining a high level of productivity.

In May of 2016, Meena Sharma was appointed as AGM-corporate HR at Uniparts. She spearheaded HR transformation during post-merger integration, aligning organisational structure, processes, and culture to drive growth, improve resource utilisation, and foster synergy across diverse teams.

From 2023 to 2025, she was associated with UKB Electronics as group head-HR.

She is state council member at Women’s India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) since September of 2020.

Since April 2025 to March of 2026, she was playing virtual CHRO to Mentech General Trading. Working remotely, she aligned HR strategies with overall business goals, designed hiring strategies, employer branding, and succession planning to attract and retain top talent.

Now, in her latest assignment at V-Marc, Sharma will drive the overall human resources strategy in alignment with the organisation’s rapid growth and business objectives.

HRKatha wishes Meena Sharma all the best in this endeavour!
