Realising the importance of the holistic well-being of its employees amidst these challenging times, Home Credit India has gone out of the way to help and support its staff. These measures not only safeguard the employees’s lives but also that of their family members.

COVID task force: The consumer finance company has established a special task force comprising proactive and willing employees who go that extra mile to help other colleagues. They are also responsible for creating awareness regarding plasma donation, help employees with transport arrangements in case of emergency, use the Company’s special fund to provide financial assistance to employees, and help arrange for beds, oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders and so on.

Financial support: Families of employees who have lost their lives to COVID will receive salary for a year, up to a maximum limit of Rs 5 lakh. Insurance coverage has also been increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakhs under ESIC benefits, which will be a big support to the frontline staff.

Leave policy: For all employees, advance leave allocation has been initated for the entire year. Employees can avail the same during a COVID-19 emergency.

Medical support: For timely medical guidance, employees have the facility to consult a doctor online, at any hour of the day or night. This is a free consultation facility.

Other facilities: Employees have been provided with N95 masks and face shields at all locations. Webinars have been organised to spread awareness and facilitate wellbeing. Wellness programmes, including yoga and Zumba sessions have been held for the physical and mental wellbeing of the staff.

Home Credit India — the local arm of the international organisation that has operations across Europe and Asia — has an employee base of over 13,500 in the country, and has been consistently expanding operations since its entry in 2012. It now has a significant presence in 367+ cities across 22 states in India. It boasts of a customer base of more than 11.7 million.
