Strengthening its commitment to the health and wellness of its employees, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has set up first line COVID -19 isolation centres across India. These centres will offer its associates and their families the first line of COVID-19 treatment in Chennai, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad,, Bangalore, Delhi, Bhubaneshwar, Indore and Nagpur. Medical support will be provided to associates and their dependents (spouse, children and parents/parents-in-law) who are asymptomatic/mildly COVID-19 positive but suffer from no other co-morbid conditions. All these centres will offer 24×7 medical cover, and daily monitoring by trained professionals. There will also be an option for patients to connect with a counselor virtually during their treatment.

The Company has tied up with medical partners to ensure availability of competent medical staff round the clock. The hospitality partners it has collaborated with will be responsible for the housekeeping as well as lodging and catering services.

These centres will function according to the various guidelines laid down by the Central and State governments, and local bodies in compliance with the Disaster Management Act.

Depending on the type of facility, each patient will have an independent bed in a room/ward as per availability, for the duration of their stay in the premise.

Despite the pandemic, TCS is amongst the companies that has been quite positive. It embraced work-from-home in a big way and is all set to virtually onboard about 20,000 freshers from about 1,800 institutions across the country.
