Saurabh K. Choudhary has been appointed as head of human resources & industrial relations for Wabtec Corporation’s Freight Equipment Business.
Choudhary began his professional journey as a business development specialist with Benett Coleman and Co. in 2002. Less than three years later, he moved to

Bharat Sanchar Nigam as business development manager, in May of 2009. Two years into this role, he obtained an MBA in Human Resources Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and interned with Maersk Line, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Shell Oil Company, PlatOZ HR and Johnson & Johnson.

He then joined KEC International as plant HR head in June of 2013 and was soon the SBU HR head.
In September of 2017 he became head of business partner HR at GE. Three years later, he moved to Compton to head HR for sales and services, based out of Chennai.

May of 2021 saw him taking on the role of head of HR and IR at Colgate-Palmolive.

Choudhary was back with KEC International for a second stint in July of 2022. He headed HR for South Asia, successfully managing a workforce of 3000+ employees across 60+ locations. Not only did he drive HR digitisation initiatives during his tenure, but effectively managed a multi-generational workforce with a strong emphasis on fostering a high-performance culture.

Known for his outstanding ability to align HR strategy with business priorities, Saurabh K Choudhary will now lead Wabtec’s HR and IR strategy. The role will see him collaborating with business leaders to increase workforce productivity, operational efficiency, and support the railroad equipment manufacturer’s long-term growth objectives.

HRKatha wishes Saurabh K Choudhary all the best in this endeavour!
