Infravision, a technology company founded in Australia and specialising in advanced construction and performance solutions for the power transmission sector, is expanding its operations in India. Its newly-launched Noida facility, which has 38 employees right now, will soon expand to 100 by the end of this year, and serve as the company’s central hub in India.
The new India head office in Noida, Delhi NCR, was inaugurated by Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, Governor of Queensland, recently.
This launch will further strengthen Australia-India collaboration in cutting-edge infrastructure solutions. Infravision is committed to redefining the way India builds and maintains power networks, aligning with the country’s ambitious energy and sustainability goals.
Infravision’s India presence marks the beginning of a new era in power transmission innovation, paving the way for advanced knowledge exchange, skilled workforce development, and deeper industry collaboration.
Infravision entered the Indian market with support from the Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ), which is the global business agency for the Queensland government.
This expansion is part of Infravision’s efforts to revolutionise India’s power-transmission landscape with cutting-edge, sustainable technologies.
The move aligns with Infravision’s long-term partnership with Sterlite Power—the Indian transmission company—driving advancements in efficiency, safety and sustainability in power grid modernisation. India is on its way to becoming the epicentre of the largest power transmission expansions globally, targeting the development of 50,000 km of new transmission lines by 2030.
The Governor of Queensland feels, “Infravision’s inroads into the Indian market is a testament to the growing synergies between Australia and India in the fields of technology, infrastructure, and trade. Queensland is home to some of the world’s most innovative businesses, and this milestone exemplifies our commitment to fostering sustainable, high-impact collaborations that drive global infrastructure excellence.”
Abhinav Bhatia, Trade and Investment Commissioner – South Asia, TIQ, stated how “Queensland and India share a deep commitment to energy security and innovation. With rapid urbanisation and ambitious development goals, India presents a significant opportunity for Queensland’s energy and technology companies. Infravision’s success here underscores the potential for innovative businesses to play a transformative role in India’s infrastructure growth.”
Feeling honoured to be present at the launch of the India head office, Cameron Van Der Berg, co-founder & CEO, Infravision, said, “Our Infravision India team is expanding rapidly, and we look forward to an exciting future ahead in one of the world’s fastest growing energy ecosystems.”
