UST, a global digital transformation solutions firm, is gearing up to hire at least 2,000 people over the next couple of years and take its team strength in Hyderabad up to 4,000. Having begun with a small team of 250 about five years ago, UST has come a long way in Hyderabad. As part of its expansion in India, UST has set up a new office in Hyderabad’s International Tech Park.
The California-based company already has a 20,000-strong India team, which forms the lion’s share of its global workforce of 30,000. Its other development and software-delivery centres in India are located in Chennai, Kochi, Coimbatore, Pune, Bengaluru, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Hosur and Delhi NCR.
The laboratory at the newly-inaugurated innovation hub — UST’s fourth in the country after Kochi, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram —will see engineers and researchers creating innovative solutions in collaboration with clients, partners and academics.
In addition to engineering and computer information science (CIS), the new facility will serve as a research and development (R&D) centre for artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT) and other emerging technologies. It will also work to develop SAS platform practices.
The company is eager to leverage the rich talent available locally to strengthen its capabilities, and develop the hub into a global capacity centre to fulfil the needs of various sectors, including telecom, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, insurance and pharmaceuticals.
