Here’s a list of the fastest-growing jobs in 2025-2030

Over the next five years, the demand for big data specialists, fintech engineers, and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) specialists will surge. How do we know this? Interesting data pertaining to growing and declining jobs has emerged in The Future of Jobs Report 2025 by the World Economic Forum (WEF).

According to the respondents, the fastest-growing job roles by 2030 will be driven by tech advancements, including artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. In addition, there will be the influence of increasing digital access.

Which are the top fastest-growing jobs?

The job of big-data specialist is the fastest-growing one, followed by the jobs of fintech engineer and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) specialist. Software and application development jobs come in fourth and security- management specialist jobs come in a close fifth, followed by data-warehousing specialists.

In the seventh position are autonomous and electric vehicle (EV) specialists, followed by UI and UX designers in the eight position. Light truck or delivery services drivers come in ninth, followed by Internet of Things specialists, data analysts and scientists, environmental engineers and information security analysts in the tenth, eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth positions. On fourteenth position is the job of devops engineers, while the fifteenth position is occupied by renewable energy engineer jobs.

Which are the fastest-declining jobs?

There is also a list of jobs that are declining rapidly. This list is topped by postal-service clerks, bank tellers and related clerks, and data-entry clerks in the first three positions. Fourth position is occupied by cashiers and ticket clerks, followed by administrative assistants and executive secretaries and workers in printing and related trades in the fifth and sixth positions.

The seventh most declining job on the list is that of accounting, bookkeeping and payroll clerks, followed by material-recording and stock-keeping clerks in eighth position and transportation attendants and conductors in ninth position.

Tenth on the list of fastest-declining jobs is that of door-to-door sales workers, news and street vendors, and related workers, followed by graphic designers in eleventh position and claims adjusters, examiners, and investigators in twelfth position. The last three positions are occupied by legal officials, legal secretaries and telemarketers.

These insights are based on an analysis of the results of the edition of an extensive survey of chief people officers, chief learning officers, chief strategy officers and chief executive officers of leading global organisations.
