    Bei Ling named head – HR, Wells Fargo

    The Operating Committee of Wells Fargo & Company will soon have a new member. Bei Ling has been named as the head-HR of the American multinational financial services company. She will join in October and report to Charlie Scharf, CEO, Wells Fargo.

    Ling, who has over two decades of experience, will move from JPMorgan Chase, where she is global head of compensation and benefits. Having joined the Company in 2013, she has already spent over eight successful years there.

    Armed with an MBA in finance from the University of Southern California – Marshall School of Business, Ling started her career with Merrill Lynch. In her eight-year long tenure there, she held several positions handling compensation for the asset management group, heading corporate planning in finance and leading compensation for global markets and investment banking.

    In 2008, she joined PNC Financial Services Group as executive vice president and director of total rewards. Three years later, she moved to PNC Bank as executive vice president and deputy director of human resources. For a year in this role, she handled compensation, benefits, HR service delivery, HR metrics and analytics, among other things.

    At Wells Fargo, Ling, who is a graduate in Asian Studies from Peking University, will handle the Company’s human capital strategy, working closely with the CEO. She will also work with the Operating Committee to help establish an inclusive culture.

    Wells Fargo & Company has assets worth about $1.9 trillion in assets and serves one in three US households and over 10 per cent of all middle-sized and small businesses in the US.
