The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has attained the highest degree of gender equality among Arab nations. With 15 Emirati women on the list, the nation boasts the largest representation of women on the Forbes 100 Most Influential Arab Businesswomen 2023 list.

As per the latest Global Gender Gap report by the World Economic Forum, Emirati women are actively contributing to the UAE’s development under the guidance of the nation’s wise leadership. Almost two-thirds of the public-sector professionals in the UAE are women, with 30 per cent in leadership positions and 15 per cent in technical and academic roles.

The report also talks about Ru’ya, UAE’s renowned careers fair for Emiratis, which has long served as a vital platform linking ambitious women with job opportunities in both public and private sectors. It also offers guidance and motivation for their career growth.

This year, Ru’ya strengthens its empowerment message with ‘Empower Her,’ a dedicated section within the exhibition, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 19 to 21 September, 2023. The programme welcomes women seeking employment or career progression, offering informative workshops, panels and mentoring sessions led by experts, including skilled professionals and CEOs who understand the unique challenges women may encounter in their professional journeys.

Moreover, over 100 organisations are participating in the exhibition this year, with Emirati women at the forefront of innovation in various sectors. The event will also host many big companies such as Al Futtaim, DP World, Nakheel, RTA, Schlumberger, and Siemens, from both the private and government sector.
