CarDekho, the online car purchase and sale portal, will be hiring 2,000 people this fiscal as it is planning to expand its business.

Presently, the Company has more than 2,800 employees. However, as it expands, it will add more people in both technological and non-technological roles in various departments across India.

About 20 per cent of the hiring will be done to fill mid-to senior-level positions in various areas of insurance, fintech, retail and digital. Approximately 30 per cent hires will be assigned technology roles in Jaipur and Gurgaon.

Half the hiring —about a thousand people—will be done for non-technical roles, that is, in the B2B/channel sales operations across Indian cities, including the finance and insurance verticals.

With the Company having witnessed immense growth, especially in the used car business, it is all set to launch about 150 stores—CarDekho Gaadi Stories— by the end of 2019.

It will begin visiting colleges for campus hiring in 2020 and intends to groom and develop the massive pool of untapped talent.

More than a 1,000 people will be hired from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Mumbai for B2B in auto loans/auto finance/channel sales and follow-up support roles.

Recently, the Company had forayed into the motor and health insurance space with InsuranceDekho. This online insurance platform has collaborated with over 20 health and motor insurance companies. With this tie-up, CarDekho is aiming for a target of selling 10 lakh policies per month in the next three years!
