There is a hiring drive on the cards at Infosy. The Indian multinational tech firm is looking for experienced techies with knowledge of cloud computing, automation testing, cyber security, Java Python, dotnet and Android/IoS development. At least two years of experience is preferred.
It is reported that the posts have primarily been rendered vacant because of attrition. However, exactly how many people will be hired is yet to be known. The hiring is, in all likelihood, based on ongoing project requirements and upcoming projects.
As per an ET report, this lateral-hiring spree is part of its yearly lateral hiring exercise. Infosys is looking for talent across more than 40 skill sets. An internal communication has been sent regarding the hiring so that candidates can give their city preferences and interview locations.
In 2024 walk-in interviews had taken place on similar lines in Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru at Infosys’s development centres in these cities. Before that Infosys had hired talent virtually in Bengaluru just after the pandemic-related panic and issues had subsided.
About 600 fresh engineering graduates have already been hired from Dharwad, Karnataka for the development centre at Hubballi. Preference is being given to local talent from the colleges and institutes in the area. The company had also offered incentives to existing employees from other locations who were willing to take a transfer to Hubballi.
