    Visionet to hire 1,500 in 2021

    With increasing digitisation, especially in the banking, finance and insurance sectors (BFSI), Visionet, the business process management company, anticipates 50 per cent year-on-year growth in 2021 and 2022. It plans to expand its team by 1,500 across its facilities in Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Mumbai.

    The Company grew by nearly 60 per cent last year and expects to continue this growth, as it helped many banking and financial service institutions accelerate their digital transformation. It now plans to establish a new centre in 2021, but this time, in a smaller town, as part of its intention to expand operations in the northern as well as the eastern part of India, even while focussing on expanding its capabilities by investing in cloud strategy, mobile strategy, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

    Visionet has been busy working on projects from new as well as existing clients, and therefore, it is only natural that it should work on expanding its team. Offers have been made to about 500 people already, of which 300 have joined.

    In July 2020, the Company had revealed its intention to double its staff in India, and take the headcount to 7,000 by the end of 2021. At the time, Visionet Systems had a 3,000-strong India team and 5,000 employees globally. By the end of 2021, the Company had hoped to have 10,000 people globally. In the first half of 2020, Visionet India acquired about 37 new clients, most of whom were US-based,
