Jindal Stainless has named Kunjal Mehta its new chief financial officer (CFO), effective from 25 June, after receiving the board approval in Delhi.
A chartered accountant and cost accountant with 25+ years of experience, Mehta moves from Adani Energy Solutions, where he was CFO. His career spans senior finance roles at Adani Electricity Mumbai, Adani Ports & SEZ, and Essar Steel, with expertise in corporate finance, treasury, fundraising, and large-scale business transformation.
As CFO, Mehta will be in charge of treasury, capital management, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, risk management, and strategic initiatives.
Abhyuday Jindal, MD, Jindal Stainless pointed out that disciplined capital management is key to the company’s long-term growth plan. He noted Mehta’s track record of value creation in complex organisations will reinforce financial resilience and support expansion in manufacturing.
Mehta called it a defining moment to join Jindal Stainless, citing its market leadership built on innovation, operational excellence, and sustainability. He aims to strengthen the company’s financial core and back its strategic goals.
Founded in 1970, Jindal Stainless is driven by innovation, enriching lives, and social responsibility. Its integrated operations support stronger cost competitiveness and operational efficiency.
For a sustainable future, the company relies on electric arc furnace technology to manufacture stainless steel. This lowers greenhouse gas emissions and allows scrap to be fully recycled while maintaining product quality.
