The Uttar Pradesh government has mandated that all state employees must disclose their movable and immovable assets by 30 September. If they are unable to do so, the employees will not receive their salaries for that month.
This directive comes as a part of the government’s effort to enhance transparency within governance. Additionally, it applies to all government departments.
As per the order issued by the Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, employees are required to submit their asset details on the ‘Manav Sampada Portal.’ Furthermore, the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) have been tasked with reviewing compliance. Non-compliant employees will face a salary freeze.
So far, 90 per cent of the state’s 8.44 lakh employees have submitted their asset information, with the government having previously extended the deadline from 31 August to accommodate more submissions.
