Max Life Insurance Company has appointed Iqbal Mir as vice president-HR. He moves from Bajaj AllianzL Life Insurance, where he was deputy vice president-HR for a year. Before that, he was AVP HR business partner, Bajaj Allianz Life for almost five years.
Mir began his professional journey with Planman HR, as recruitment consultant, in 2008. Less than two years later, he moved to Manpower, as recruitment consultant. For over a year, he looked in recruitment for telecom, manufacturing, engineering, BFSI and the management consulting industry.
In 2010, he joined Deloitte as HR business consulting and technology team. Based out of Gurugram, for the next four years, he handled the talent acquisition for Deloitte’s business consulting practice.
His next stop was KPMG, in 2013. He was associated with the business consulting division and HRBP for the management consulting function. He was responsible for the end-to-end HR lifecycle for about 500 employees. However, this was a very short stint.
In March 2014, he found himself essaying the role of zonal head north – HRBP, at MetLife. For over five years, he successfully handled overall employee life cycle , business partnering with salesforce , talent acquisition, employee engagement , talent management, talent development , retention and grievance management. He also looked into HR compliance for about 4500 employees.
From 2019, he was with Bajaj Allianz Life, as AVP HR business partner.
An alumnus of Cornell University, he also has a certificate in strategic HR from Harvard Business School Executive Education.
