Upraised, the ed-tech startup focused on upskilling students and professionals, has launched its ‘Embark Internship Programme 2021’ to help college students bag internships with big brands and high-growth companies.

The six-week long programme will offer an immersive learning experience and a range of benefits, including guaranteed internship across five different career tracks at leading companies. It promises the students best-in-class stipend in the range of Rs 15,000 to Rs 70,000. If the students perform well during the internship, they will receive pre-placement offers (PPO) and end up being absorbed by the company. Upraised offers students a chance to be part of an exclusive club, comprising the best talent from over 6000 colleges. That is not all, these students will be mentored by industry leaders, who will share their experiences and offer guidance on the students’ career paths.

Mona Gandhi, founder, Upraised, points out that “If done right, internships can help more students from tier 2 and 3 cities to participate in the tech gold rush we are witnessing right now, and it can widen the pool of qualified talent that companies can hire from. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

The aim of the programme is “to bridge the industry-academia gap, so that students are not worried about getting the right opportunities in today’s competitive business environment.”

To create awareness about the importance of skilling and the programme, the startup — that is focussed on upskilling high-potential candidates to be world-class product managers, to fulfil the hiring needs of Indian tech companies — has tied up with India’s influential tech entrepreneurs. It has taken the help of experts and influencers including Vijay Shekhar Sharma (founder & CEO, Paytm), Tanmay Bhat (comedian, YouTuber & investor), Ankur Warikoo (founder, Nearbuy.com), who will sponsor the upskilling and placement of 150 interns each. They will also engage with their followers to create awareness about the advantages of Embark and the right internship.
