HR technology leader Phenom announced the acquisition of Tydy, a company specialising in employee pre-boarding and onboarding experiences. This marks the fifth addition to Phenom’s Intelligent Talent Experience platform.
The acquisition aims to streamline the onboarding process for new hires, reducing time to productivity and improving efficiency for HR professionals. Phenom envisions a unified platform managing the entire talent lifecycle, from acquisition to ongoing development.
Founded in 2019, Tydy boasts an Employee Data Platform (EDP) used by major companies globally. This platform automates tasks typically associated with onboarding, such as background checks, document collection, and IT setup. The integration is expected to improve efficiency for HR, IT, and operations teams by streamlining workflows and reducing manual effort.
“Tydy empowers organisations to ensure their employees are productive from the start,” stated Mahe Bayireddi, CEO and co-founder of Phenom. Onboarding is a critical juncture where new hires transition into valued team members. Tydy’s integration aims to create a smoother onboarding experience, setting employees up for success and fostering positive connections with the company.
Tydy addresses a common pain point for HR and talent acquisition teams: the administrative burden associated with onboarding. Background checks, paperwork, and operational steps can delay the process. Tydy simplifies these tasks, aiming to expedite onboarding and create a more transparent experience for new hires.
This acquisition follows a series of HR tech innovations announced by Phenom at their annual conference, IAMPHENOM 2024. The conference showcased advancements like the Talent Experience Engine and platform experiences designed for talent leaders and marketers.
The entire Tydy team, including co-founders Kiran Menon, Nikhil Gurjer, and Gaurabh Mathure, will join Phenom. Tydy’s Employee Data Platform (EDP) boasts functionalities such as automated compliance checks, document management, and IT provisioning. These capabilities will be integrated into Phenom’s platform, offering HR professionals a unified interface for talent acquisition, onboarding, and ongoing management needs.
Phenom’s platform offers functionalities across the entire talent management spectrum, from candidate acquisition and development to talent marketing and retention. This acquisition further strengthens their position as a leader in the HR technology space.
